Juliette Losq: Lucaria

Juliette Losq's show at Theodore:Art has wrapped up already but these paintings on paper I think are a good way to start out the new year.

Losq associates these spaces with the anthropological notion of 'The Clearing' (Lucus) - where we feel at our most safe and yet our most vulnerable

Sharon Butler posts an excerpt of Brian Duponts talk with Losq for Idiom. Losq's discusses her process as well as her suburban inspiration.
