Julia Morrisroe is a painter and associate professor at University of Florida. Looking at Painting began as a way to share my commitment to look and occasionally write about a wide variety of painting, contemporary and historical. In particular I'm looking at this as public commonplace book, a long term project to explore what I mean when I say 'thats a painting'.

MOMA has launched a project to document online the complete prints and illustrated books of Louise Bourgeois. It turns out most of these books are in their collection, so the museum is looking to provide greater access to this resource. The website is just getting started, but its a laudable effort. I only wish they would provide full large scale views of the work without that little picture window in the corner, but I have that complaint about their entire website.
