Complex Forms, Sol Lewitt at Paula Cooper
The newest installation of one of Sol Lewitt's wall drawing just opened at Paula Cooper. It reminded me to watch the video of the installation of the MASS MoCA retrospective, Sol Lewitt: A Wall Drawing that I love so much. Ken Johnson reviewed the show for the Times,
....In theory, anyone who has the instructions and access to wall space could reproduce it .... LeWitt’s utopian, radically democratic vision for art has not been and probably will never be realized fully, but it’s nice to think about.
