Tyler Green interviews Vija Celmins for
Modern Art Notes Podcast. They talk about her intuitive approach to making work. While talking about photographic source material Celmins mentioned "when i gave up composing, inventing....when i really got down to mapping surfaces and images I found I tend to follow them faithfully...and my hand was doing its own thing, kind of following but with its own sensibility."
