Here are some images from Benjamin Degen's show at
Susan Inglett last October. As usual the photograph fails to convey the attention to detail and general craftsmanship in developing the surface of the painting. There's a real decorative flourish to the work and it makes sense when you find he also works in color pencil, there's a similarity to way the paint is handled, the replication of mark that mimics the the pencil.
