Dead or Alive, I love painting
The “Painting Is Dead” Versus “Painting Is Back” List was posted by Corinna Kirsch for Art F City. It's the Schrödinger's Cat paradox of the art world and much like Shrödinger's thought experiment, the question of paintings status is a useful one for a discipline continually redefining itself. From Christopher Wood's ghost paintings to Charline von Heyl's zombie theory to Gerhard Richter's occasional necrophilia I love the question and most particularly I love the range of answers.
Check out Kirsch's post, she has a great, funny, reading list that is certainly worth checking out.
