Liam Everett at On Stellar Rays
Montolieu, Liam Everett's new exhibition just opened at On Stellar Rays. Working on unstretched linen Everett's labor intensive process includes a straight forward additive processing of painting that is upended by stripping and sanding until the linen's fibers are exposed. Sometimes the work reminds me of Rudopf Stingel's installation at Palazzo Grassi for the Venice Biennale when the digitally printed carpet (here) is worn, not thread bare, but image bare, by the viewers passing through the space. |
