Hauser + Wirth exhibits Leon Golub this May. We can certainly add Golub to the list of artists that need a major US retrospective.
The Guardian's Adriane Searle reviewed the March exhibition at London's Serpentine Gallery and wrote
Leon Golub found a way to paint the world and human beings that was raw and brutal....Everyone in his art, victims and oppressors alike, has been brutalized by their condition.
